Astrology is the original observational science of our ancestors

The Sun, Moon & planets’ movements through the stars were observed as the sacred clock that guided the timing of all important actions, events & ceremonies.

Vedic Astrology is known in Sanskrit as ‘Jyotish’, which means ‘the science of light’.

When we light a candle with intention, we can suddenly see inside a dark room.

Along with the disciplines of yoga, meditation and ayurveda, Jyotish originated from the Vedas, an ancient wealth of living wisdom that was passed down orally, dating back several thousand years B.C. The keepers of this knowledge were deeply attuned beings that would gaze at the stars and commune with the cosmos on a nightly basis. They intuitively knew the medicines of the plants and through practice and repetition had a mastery over the union of body, mind and breath.

Known as the ‘Eye of the Vedas’, Vedic Astrology is a tool to see our truest selves more clearly.

Our birth chart is our unique cosmic blueprint that reveals our gifts and talents, our character, psychology, and our soul’s deepest longings, as well as the challenges that we are here to overcome.

As Above, So Below. As Below, So Above
— The Kybalion

Just as the meridian points on our feet are a map connecting every organ in our body and the lines in the palm of our hands can reveal aspects of our life’s destiny,

so too, is the human body and psyche,  a microcosm of the cosmos itself. A snapshot of the sky at the time of our birth becomes a roadmap for our life, revealing our experience through time and the ripening of opportunities and events.

We are all born with a certain set of fixed karmas such as our physical body type, our early childhood environment, our parents & their available resources. As we grow and become more autonomous, we learn that we have the ability to refine ourselves. Vedic Astrology, then, becomes an insightful tool for holistic personal growth and can reveal keys to…

Our innate physical health

& how we can rebalance any weakness with holistic lifestyle.

Emotional State

Our deep-seated psychology & mental fixations.

Relationships

The type of partners we are attracted to & our patterns of relating.

Career

The type of work we may instinctually pursue vs.the type of work that may fulfill our soul

Money

Our ease in acquiring it, identifying our blocks

Children

Timing and ability to have them & insights into how our style of parenting is received

A Vedic astrologer, then, is a life guide that can help us see the larger purpose of our birth. A chart reading provides practical and mystical tools for aligning our minds and lives with the universal, with a higher awareness, and a sense of meaning and purpose.

While immersed in studies of Yoga & Vedic philosophy, she was introduced to Vedic Astrology & Ayurveda by an elder & teacher at the Chopra Center in California. From 2010 onwards, she began travelling to India every year on a quest for knowledge. There was something in the ancient devotional culture there, the birthplace of the Vedas and yoga itself, that continually pulled on her heartstrings. She was able to have engaging Astrology conversations on most street corners, with the local jeweller, the barber, with the Ayurvedic doctor, as it is woven into the culture, and still a highly respected and indispensable form of knowledge.

Dallas is a graduate of the Academy of Vedic Sciences as a Vedic Astrology practitioner under master teacher, Komilla Sutton. She has an active research practice and is currently giving readings online & from her home in Britannia Beach, BC.

Dallas’ dedicated, daily practices of meditation, yoga, devotional dance and mantra are what ground her and connect her observational capacity and intuition to the movement of the cosmos. She is very passionate about working with others and helping them decode their birth charts, finding new pathways and inspiration in their lives.

Dallas began her journey with Vedic Astrology in 2009.
